Autumn 2024

WEEK 1 - 13th August 2024 - Introduction to Dance

• Warm-Up (10 minutes): Basic stretches and cardio

 

• Technique (20 minutes): Introduction to basic steps and movements

 

• Choreography (20 minutes): Simple routine using learned steps

 

• Cool Down (10 minutes): Stretching and relaxation 

WEEK 2 - 20th August 2024 - Building Foundations

• Warm-Up (10 minutes): Focus on posture and alignment

 

• Technique (20 minutes): Basic turns and footwork

 

• Choreography (20 minutes): Incorporate turns and footwork into routine

 

• Cool Down (10 minutes): Flexibility exercises 

WEEK 3 - 27th August 2024 - Musicality and Rhythm

• Warm-Up (10 minutes): Rhythmic exercises and cardio

 

• Technique (20 minutes): Understanding beats and timing

 

• Choreography (20 minutes): Routine focusing on musicality

 

• Cool Down (10 minutes): Breath control and relaxation 

WEEK 4 - 10th September 2024 - Expanding Movement Vocabulary

• Warm-Up (10 minutes): Full-body stretches and strength exercises

 

• Technique (20 minutes): Introduce new movements and combinations

 

• Choreography (20 minutes): Use new movements in routine

 

• Cool Down (10 minutes): Gentle stretches 

WEEK 5 - 17th September 2024 - Partner Work and Spatial Awareness

WEEK 6 - 24th September 2024 - Mid-Term Review and Practice
